Closings
Klub Kid, Inc. will have a one-week shut down period in August so that all teachers may take vacation, and any renovations can be made at the Center. These dates will be announced well in advance. Parents are still responsible for payment during the week of closing and all holidays.
Holiday Closings
We will be closed for the following holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, and Christmas Day. If New Years Day, Fourth of July, Christmas or New Years Day fall on a Saturday, the Center will be closed on Friday. If these holidays fall on a Sunday, the Center will be closed on the following Monday.
Regularly Scheduled School Closings
On days when Glastonbury schools are scheduled to be closed i.e. Columbus Day, Christmas vacation, Klub Kid, Inc. will offer sign ups a week prior to the scheduled closing for a limited number of spots. These will be available on a first come first serve basis. These spots are offered at an additional charge due to additional staffing requirements. If you sign up for these days and do not show up you will be charged for the spot.
School Closings Due to Inclement Weather
If there is inclement weather Klub Kid, Inc. will still be open at its regularly scheduled hours. The only time Klub Kid, Inc will be shut down is if the State of CT declares a state shut down.
When Glastonbury schools are closed, Klub Kid, Inc. will have a set number of available openings for school-age children to attend on the day of closing. Those with full-time siblings at Klub Kid, Inc will get first priority but we will try to accommodate all requests. These spots are offered at an additional charge due to additional staffing requirements.
School Delayed Openings/Early Dismissal
If there is a delayed opening or an unscheduled early dismissal, Klub Kid, Inc. will arrange openings for all school-age children before or after school if they are regularly scheduled to be at Klub Kid, Inc on that particular day, at that time of day i.e. if your child normally is scheduled for morning care then we will provide a spot for your child on that day for the delayed opening at no additional charge.
We will follow the Glastonbury schools delayed opening schedule or early dismissal schedule to ensure all children are taken to or picked up from their respective schools on time. If your child is normally scheduled to be picked up by Klub Kid Inc. and you make other arrangements you must inform Klub Kid, Inc. of the change because we will expect to pick up your child.
Emergency Evacuation from Klub Kid, Inc.
When an emergency warrants evacuation from the school, teachers will gather children under their supervision and quickly move all children out through the pre-designated fire evacuation exits. The Teacher will be the last one to leave the room performing a final sweep of the room. Once outside the children will relocate to the end of the driveway for a head count. All parents will be called from a safe location.
