Parental Involvement

At Klub Kid, Inc. we feel parent involvement is a key ingredient in assisting the child to have a successful school experience. We have an open door policy and encourage parents to visit the classroom at any time. Parent involvement is also encouraged in the following areas:

  • Chaperoning field trips
  • Providing ideas for classroom activities
  • Attending parent/teacher conferences
  • Completing the program feedback forms
  • Attend program meetings
Klub Kid, Inc. encourages communication between the home and the Center. We recommend that you take a few moments in the morning or evenings to check in with your child's teacher. During the year there are many activities that help bring the "Klub Kid Family" together, these include: family holiday party, family summer picnic, guest speakers, teacher/parent conferences.

The only way that Klub Kid, Inc. will be successful is if we hear from you. Let us know your likes and things you don't. Lend us your creative minds and talents and help us help the children grow.

Communication Log

At Klub Kid, Inc. we believe that communication between staff and parents is essential in order for a child to have a successful school experience. All parents of full time students are asked to supply their child with a notebook the first day of school. Teachers will complete a message to the parents daily. It may simply say that the child had a good day, other days it may describe details of a project they are working on. We encourage parents to read these daily and reply whenever they feel comfortable.

Evaluation Form

Parent input is a very valuable tool for our program. Staff will be calling upon families to complete an evaluation form twice a year. The questions on this form are designed to assist the staff in providing the best experience for your child. Your input will be used as a self-assessment tool to better our program. These forms are confidential and will be appreciated by our staff.

Parent Handbook

Upon enrollment of a child, the parent or caretaker will receive a parent handbook. This will include information on our policies and procedures, parent involvement and staff.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

A formal meeting between parents and teachers will be offered two times per year, in October and January. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the child's development and establish goals for the child. Individual meetings between parent and teacher can be scheduled at other times throughout the year, as requested by the parent or teacher.

Emergency Contact List

Parents are required to complete an emergency contact form, which identifies at least two alternative contact people. Emergency forms will be required to be updated 2 times per year, in September and March. If all information is the same, parents can just initial and date the form. At any time between those dates parents are required to provide the teachers with any changes in information.
